Well… seems like a good day to blog…
I was reading this article which I had bookmarked to read it another day… Which seems like it is today is the day I read it….
Interesting… The Mahathirs: Time To Go
I concur with one of HantuLaut’s comment about Dr M being a great guy and leader. Don’t get me wrong… he has created a lot of opportunities for the Malaysian. For that I am grateful for that.
Mahathir is not a completely bad man, he has also done something good for the nation during his time as premier.
He should accept he made a mistake in choosing his successor and bite the bullet and let it be.Let the people of this country decide whether they want Abdullah or not.
His incessant attacks on the PM create political instibility and a climate of uncertainty which is not good for the nation.
He has become too personal in his attacks on Abdullah, not a wise thing to do, especially for an ex-premier and a veteran politician.
I think somehow or rather, he should not only accepts his mistakes but also help rectify it. I guess that is what he is doing now. He is already 83 years old and I hope he will continue to fight and and rectify his pass mistakes.
There are not many great capable leaders here in Malaysia that would help lead us and brave through both good times and bad times. Anwar is the next best thing… I will leave it for another day to express my thought about Anwar.
Anyway, I think that Dr M needs to rock the boat a bit in order to ensure that we will have a better future. If the law of cause and effect will be in play here. Then I do hope his cause to create political instability will ensure the effect of a better future for us as a nation.
While we criticize about his past, I think it is his present act that counts for now.
If not him and a few other brave soul to help lead and fight for our future, then who else? You? Me?
